Tony Pulis: 'We need a few breaks'

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis wants a "few breaks" when they face Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has admitted that the Potters "need a few breaks" when they face Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

Stoke picked up their first league win of the season against Swansea City last weekend, but Pulis has called on his players to upset the odds at Anfield.

"You can never call a game. The players have trained really well during the week and then you play poorly on the Saturday," he told Sky Sports News.

"Then you'll have another occasion where the lads won't train so well during the week and they'll get a result.

"It's a funny old game so it will be the team who turns up and plays well and hopefully we will get a few breaks. Udinese got a few and ended up winning the game so we need a few breaks."

Stoke currently sit 12th in the Premier League table.
