Liverpool could reportedly be without the services of key attacker Sadio Mane for the start of the 2019-20 Premier League campaign.
Mane has helped Senegal reach the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place exactly three weeks before Liverpool's Premier League opener against Norwich City on August 9.
According to The Mirror, the Reds are therefore unlikely to be able to call upon the 27-year-old at the start of the new season.
Mane enjoyed an impressive 2018-19 campaign for Jurgen Klopp's side, finding the back of the net on 26 occasions in 50 appearances in all competitions.
Liverpool will take on Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 4 after pre-season matches against Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, Sporting Lisbon, Napoli and Lyon.
A busy August will also see the Reds face Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup on August 14, in addition to league fixtures against Southampton, Arsenal and Burnley.
