Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that forward Roberto Firmino is always "a little annoying" for the opposition.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised the contribution of Roberto Firmino, who he says is proving to be "a little annoying" for the opposition.

On Saturday, Firmino netted twice as Liverpool thrashed Brighton & Hove Albion by a 5-1 scoreline in the Premier League, taking his tally for the season up to 10 goals in all competition.

However, while Klopp has admitted that he was pleased with the Brazilian's two goals, the Reds boss has also given the forward credit for the part that he plays in starting moves for his side.

The 50-year-old is quoted by the Liverpool Echo as saying: "Roberto scored twice, but what he did around these goals is what excites me the most, to be honest.

"In all the counter-attacks, pretty much, he won the ball. By being here, by being a little annoying, a little foot, a little toe, that for us is important. Then the ball is go. With all the rest around him, you need to get used to it."

Liverpool's win over Brighton has taken the Merseyside giants into fourth place in the standings.
