Ragnar Klavan "getting used" to life at Liverpool

Ragnar Klavan declares himself "satisfied" with Liverpool's pre-season training camp in the United States, and says that he is slowly adapting to life at his new club.

Liverpool defender Ragnar Klavan has insisted that he is slowly adapting to his new surroundings in time for the Premier League season.

The 30-year-old has spent the last fortnight playing and training with his new teammates after joining in a £4.2m deal from Augsburg.

Klavan says that he is "satisfied" with his start to life at Liverpool, having been made to feel welcome by defensive partner Dejan Lovren who he could line up alongside when the Reds kick off their season at Arsenal in 12 days' time.

Speaking after the 2-1 defeat to Roma in the early hours of Tuesday morning, the Estonia international told the club's official website: "I'm satisfied with this training camp - not the result today, of course - but we trained a lot, that was our main focus.

"It wasn't just a US tour where we just play, like the manager said it was going to be hard work, and we did a lot of hard work. Everything in this area is going good. My teammates are really, really nice guys, helping me a lot.

"Dejan as well is helping me to settle in on the field in the centre of defence. We have a good [relationship]. I'm slowly getting used to it. It's a different style than it was in the Bundesliga, but you adapt to it in training and in the games we played, [though] only one team was from England. But I'm slowly getting there."

Liverpool face Barcelona in their final International Champions Cup meeting next Saturday, before taking on Mainz 05 in their last pre-season friendly fixture.
