Jurgen Klopp: 'Result not important'

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that the result in his side's 1-1 draw with Chelsea this evening was "not important".

Eden Hazard's fine solo effort looked like giving the visitors all three points at Anfield until Asmir Begovic's error in stoppage time allowed Christian Benteke to nod home a late equaliser.

Klopp acknowledged that his side had improvements to make, but is hopeful that they can learn lessons from the draw against the former champions.

"The result tonight was not important, what's important is that we take the right information out of the game," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"We started very well, and when we play like that with our compact defending we can be good. In a game like this, the crowd force you to attack. We have to develop a lot.

"I like it here. It's a nice place and a world-class club."

Liverpool now need to beat West Bromwich Albion on the final day of the season and hope that West Ham United lose to Stoke City to stand any chance of finishing in the top six.
