Jordan Henderson: 'Liverpool must move on'

Jordan Henderson says that Liverpool must "move on" from last season's second-place finish in the Premier League.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has said that the team must "move on" from last season's second-place finish in the Premier League.

The Reds, who lost out on the title to Manchester City, have lost four of their 10 league fixtures so far this term, with the latest coming at Newcastle United on Saturday.

Despite their slow start to the campaign, Henderson insists that the players still remain confident in their ability.

"You can't dwell on what's happened in the past," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"All you can do is have an impact on what's going to happen in the future and that's the most important thing.

"There's still a lot of confidence. The expectation levels went higher, on ourselves and around us really, because of how good a team we are."

Liverpool travel to Real Madrid in the Champions League this evening.
