Jose Enrique believes that Liverpool need some luck if they are to turn their recent run of poor form around.

Jose Enrique has claimed that Liverpool need some luck if they are to turn their recent slump around.

The Merseysiders have failed to win in their last five games in all competitions, including two defeats in their previous two outings.

"I think we are doing well," Enrique is quoted as saying by Eurosport. "The problem is, in the last three games we have been trying to score goals and had chances to score and then we have had mistakes.

"We have to improve in defence and in attack do what we are doing and hopefully we will have better luck."

Liverpool host Swansea City at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.
