Liverpool's Mario Balotelli thanks supporters after ending goal drought

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli thanks his supporters after ending his goal drought against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield last night.

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has expressed gratitude towards the people who have "always" believed in him after ending his goal drought against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield last night.

The Italy international, who has struggled to find form since joining Liverpool from AC Milan in September, scored his first Premier League goal in a Reds shirt on Tuesday evening.

The 24-year-old's strike proved to be the winner in a 3-2 victory over Spurs, but the forward decided against celebrating on the pitch.

After the match, Balotelli posted a photo of himself with a grin and added the message: "Great game guys!!! This smile is ONLY for those that always Belive and support me. Thank you . and Forza Liverpool. But now head down and keep working hard. Tonight is past."
