Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has admitted that his main goal of pre-season is to get back to full fitness.
The 26-year-old missed the last two months of last season through injury, but he has vowed to return stronger, while praising new boss Brendan Rodgers.
"You have to look to the future. The future for us if we have a very good manager in charge who has different ideas on the way he wants to play. We're going forward in a good direction. The club's a wonderful club and one of the biggest in the world," he told reporters.
"For him to come in here and do what he wants to do and get the players the way he wants to play is something I'm looking forward to. I don't see my future away from Liverpool, I just want to get fit.
"I missed the last two months of last season which was disappointing. For me it's about getting fit and hopefully getting some minutes on the pitch here in America."
Adam joined Liverpool from Blackpool on 2011.
