Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius 'undergoes scan to check for concussion'

Karius 'undergoes head scan'

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has reportedly undergone a scan in the United States to check if he suffered concussion during the Champions League final.

The German was subjected to plenty of criticism following the Reds' 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in Kiev on May 26.

The 24-year-old handed a goal to Karim Benzema and later fluffed his attempt at saving a long-range shot from Gareth Bale, who earlier scored a spectacular bicycle kick.

Early in the second half, Karius collided with Madrid defender Sergio Ramos during a corner, and now according to Sky Sports News, it has emerged that Liverpool were concerned that their keeper had suffered concussion.

The Merseyside outfit reportedly arranged for the German to undergo a scan while on holiday in the United States.
