After smashing West Ham United 5-1 in the 2023-24 EFL Cup, the Reds incredibly stormed to an identical win over the Irons on Wednesday evening to set up a fourth-round clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

The thumping of West Ham came a few days on from a dominant 3-0 Premier League success over Bournemouth, one which has Arne Slot's men second in the table, just a point behind leaders Manchester City.

While Alisson is in with a chance of returning, Harvey Elliott is on the long road to recovery from a foot fracture and will not be back in action for another few weeks.
