Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Arsenal

Liverpool injury, suspension list vs. Arsenal

Goals from Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino helped Liverpool beat Southampton 2-1 and maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

Adrian passed a late fitness test to start in goal for Jurgen Klopp's side, who had beaten Chelsea just 72 hours earlier to win the European Super Cup in Istanbul.

After going so close last season, the Merseyside club will look to take advantage of rivals Manchester City dropping points against Tottenham when they host old rivals Arsenal in Saturday's late kickoff.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news.

Alisson Becker

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: Unknown

Brazilian keeper Alisson was an unfortunate casualty of Liverpool's opening game of the season against Norwich, picking up a calf injury. Klopp is yet to give an exact timeframe for his recovery, but the former Roma stopper is expected to be out until after the September international break.

Naby Keita

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

The Guinean international has missed the club's opening three games with a muscle problem and it is not yet clear how much time he will miss.

Nathaniel Clyne

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Clyne, who spent the end of last season on loan at Bournemouth, is a long-term absentee after damaging his ACL in pre-season.
