Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare says that he wants to keep winger Demarai Gray - a target for Everton - at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare has said that Demarai Gray can have a "big future" at the King Power Stadium.

After making just nine starts in the Premier League last season, Gray has been linked with a move away from the club and Everton are said to be keen on a summer move.

However, Shakespeare has called on the England Under-21 international to remain in the East Midlands ahead of the new campaign.

The 53-year-old told Sky Sports News: "He's definitely still wanted. He's a player with great potential.

"I've had numerous conversations over the last four months with Demarai about being patient. I understand that sometimes that can just be words and they need to be playing but he has a big future to be played here."

Gray has been with Leicester since January 2016, but just 16 of his 55 appearances have come from the starting lineup.
