Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson rules out changes

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson rules out making sweeping changes to the squad in January, despite dropping into the Premier League relegation zone.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has claimed that his side does not need "wholesale changes" in January, despite them dropping into the Premier League's relegation zone.

The Foxes have fallen into the bottom three after a run of five defeats in their last six games.

Pearson believes that bringing in a host of new faces will not solve Leicester's problems.

"At this moment, I am not sure what money or funds would be available so I am not saying we won't do business, but I don't think we need wholesale changes," he told the Leicester Mercury.

"It is always nice to add quality to a squad but, likewise, you can't totally change a squad in the season. I have a lot of belief in the players I have got at the moment, but it is getting that balance right.

"We will do business if it is right for us and if we are able to do it."

Leicester lost 2-0 at Southampton on Saturday.
