Leicester City take Brandon Fernandes on trial

Championship outfit Leicester City have taken ASD Cape Town midfielder Brandon Fernandes on trial.

The 19-year-old caught the eye of scouts in 2008 when he appeared at a soccer skills tournament for Manchester United, but he has yet to secure a move to Europe.

The Indian youth international will now spend two weeks with the Foxes in an attempt to win a contract in England.

The player's management company told The Times of India: "He is looking forward to the test. It's fantastic and we can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings."

Leicester currently occupy second spot in the Championship table.
