Leicester City hold on to defeat Blackburn Rovers

Leicester City held on to secure a 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.

A Lloyd Dyer strike gave the hosts the lead, before David Nugent converted from the spot on the stroke of half time.

Nigel Pearson's side looked to be coasting to victory, but a Jordan Rhodes penalty with 20 minutes remaining set up a nervy finish.

However, the home side held on to keep their early promotion hopes alive with all three points.
