Report: Nigel Pearson to sign new Leicester City contract

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson reportedly agrees a new contract with the club just days before his current deal expires.

Nigel Pearson has reportedly agreed to sign a contract extension with newly-promoted Premier League side Leicester City.

The 50-year-old guided the Foxes to the top of the Championship last season, but his current deal with the club is due to expire at the end of the week.

BBC Radio Leicester says that a new agreement has been finalised following eight months of talks between the club and the manager, and that an official announcement will be made later this week.

Leicester return to the top flight after a 10-year absence.
