Claudio Ranieri 'won't think about title until April'

Claudio Ranieri insists that he will not think about Leicester City winning the Premier League until April despite seeing his side go five points clear at the top.

Claudio Ranieri has insisted that he is still not contemplating the possibility of winning the Premier League despite seeing his Leicester City side go five points clear at the top.

The Foxes recorded a comfortable 3-1 win away at Everton to ensure that they will spend Christmas top of the table, a position that has been followed by title success in five of the last six seasons.

"I am very, very honest. If we stay there at the end of April, I will think about the title. Now I just enjoy it," Ranieri said after the game. "That is football. Football is crazy. If it is crazy in this way, I am very happy.

"We are on a good run and are in good form. Today was a difficult match, Everton are a good team and they move the ball so quickly. We were very concentrated to not allow them much space. In the first half we didn't react well. In the second we were much better."

Leicester, who have lost just once in the league all season, have a tough run of festive fixtures including a trip to Liverpool on Boxing Day and a visit from title challengers Manchester City three days later.
