Leicester City's Nigel Pearson wins Championship Manager of the Month award

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has scooped up the Championship Manager of the Month award for January.

The 50-year-old has guided his side to an eight-point lead over Queens Park Rangers in the league table.

During last month, the Foxes grabbed a maximum of 15 points following victories over Millwall, Derby County, Leeds United, Middlesbrough and Birmingham City.

Leicester netted 12 goals and conceded three during January, but forward David Nugent failed to pick up the Player of the Month award, despite an impressive month.
