Claudio Ranieri not planning big changes at Leicester City

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri insists that he is not planning to make big changes to the team's style of play.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has claimed that he does not plan to make drastic changes to the team's playing style.

The experienced Italian took charge of the Foxes on Monday following the sacking of Nigel Pearson.

Ranieri admits that he would like his players to adopt 'Italian tactics' next season, but he is not expecting to change their system too much.

"It is not possible to change too much because I watched matches and they are very solid when they play three at the back and then we can change three midfielders or two in midfield with two on the flank," he told the club's official website. "I don't want to change too much but just give the Italian tactical way.

"I spoke with the players and told them I want all my players to be fighters. We must play every game like it's the last match of the season. That's important because with motivation you can do something good. Without motivation, it is very difficult to win something."

Leicester start the new Premier League campaign at home to Sunderland on August 8.
