Leeds United loan out Simon Lenighan to Halifax Town

Halifax Town have signed young midfielder Simon Lenighan on a one-month loan from Leeds United.

The 19-year-old is yet to play for Leeds's first team but has appeared regularly for their development side.

Earlier this season, Lenighan was on loan with Conference North Side Bradford Park Avenue and played in the FA Cup against Kidderminster Harriers.

Halifax are eighth in the Conference, two points off the playoffs, and next play Chester on Thursday evening.
