Massimo Cellino: 'Sam Byram has picked West Ham United'

Sam Byram will reject Everton and sign for West Ham United, according to Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino.

Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has confirmed that Sam Byram will join West Ham United.

The 22-year-old had been expected to switch to Everton after Leeds reportedly accepted a £4m bid for his services over the weekend.

However, speculation earlier today claimed that the Hammers had also entered the running to sign the right-back, who has now seemingly opted to move to Upton Park.

"I'm really sorry for Everton because they really acted like gentlemen, but Sam chose West Ham," The Guardian quotes Cellino as saying.

Byram has scored three goals from his 24 outings for Leeds this season.
