Aston Villa are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips this summer.
The 26-year-old featured in Leeds' 2-1 win over Brentford on Sunday, securing their top-flight status for another season.
However, Jesse Marsch's side could be under pressure to keep their star midfielder, with Aston Villa showing a reported interest.
According to The Telegraph, Steven Gerrard will be given significant financial backing in the summer, and the Villans are looking to make at least two major signings.
The Leeds player features at the top of their wishlist, although the Elland Road club are demanding £60m to prise Phillips away from them.
Yves Bissouma has been touted as another option for the Villans, while Gerrard and his staff are also desperate to strengthen at centre-back.
Aston Villa have already confirmed two signings for next season, making Philippe Coutinho's loan move permanent and bringing in Boubacar Kamara - a possible alternative to Phillips - on a free transfer.
Phillips, whose season was largely affected by injuries, featured in 20 Premier League games for Leeds this term.
