Championship club-by-club transfer latest: July 29

Sports Mole looks at the transfer activity of Championship clubs over the past week.

With the new Championship season now less than a fortnight away, time is running out for clubs to get their squads in order before the big kickoff.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the second tier's transfer activity over the past week.

Birmingham City

Lee Clark added to his squad by signing 18-year-old Navid Nasseri. The former Bury youngster is expected to be part of the development squad at St Andrew's.

Blackburn Rovers

No new arrivals at Ewood Park over the past seven days, although Rovers are thought to be looking at free agent Carlos Cuellar and former West Ham United defender Jordan Spence.

Gary Bowyer, meanwhile, has revealed that Sheffield Wednesday have not made a bid for striker Leon Best.

Blackpool

The Tangerines have gone some way to addressing their recruitment woes this summer by bringing in three new faces. Former Barnsley duo Jacob Mellis and Tomasz Cywka have both signed one-year deals at Bloomfield Road, with the option of a further 12 months.

Peter Clarke has also opted to return to the Seasiders on a one-year contract following his release by Huddersfield Town, which means that Blackpool now have 11 professional players on their books ahead of the new campaign.

Meanwhile, Nathan Tyson has linked up with Doncaster Rovers after being released by Blackpool at the end of last season.

Bolton Wanderers

Bolton boss Dougie Freedman has signed another player from former club Crystal Palace, with Quade Taylor moving to the Macron Stadium on a free transfer. The club are also reportedly considering offering a contract to former Bristol City defender Liam Fontaine.

The Trotters have allowed midfielder Keith Andrews to join Watford on loan, while Joe Riley has been loaned out to Oxford United until January.

Bournemouth

The Cherries have remained quiet on the recruitment front, although defender Miles Addison has joined Scunthorpe United on a short-term loan.

Brentford

The Bees received a boost this week as left-back Jake Bidwell signed a new three-year deal at Griffin Park.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Seagulls boss Sami Hyypia has started to reinvest the £7m received for Leonardo Ulloa, signing goalkeeper David Stockdale from Fulham for an undisclosed fee.

Meanwhile, Lewis Dunk has penned a new four-year deal with the club.

Cardiff City

It has been a busy week of outgoings for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with three players leaving the Cardiff City Stadium.

Steven Caulker was the first to depart as he completed his move to Queens Park Rangers. Cardiff are thought to have received £8m for the defender.

Crystal Palace saw off the competition of Leicester City to sign striker Fraizer Campbell for £900,000, while Norwegian frontman Jo Inge Berget has joined Celtic on loan until January.

Gary Medel could be next to leave the South Wales club, with Inter Milan reportedly interested in signing the Chilean. However, chairman Mehmet Dalman has insisted that he will not be sold for less than the £11m that the Bluebirds paid for him last summer.

Derby County

Two moves at the iPro Stadium this week, with James Bailey joining Barnsley on a free transfer and Josh Lelan moving to Swindon Town on a one-month youth loan.

Fulham

The Cottagers added one player this week in the form of 21-year-old Thomas Eisfeld, who has joined from Arsenal on a two-year contract.

Striker Hugo Rodallega has expressed an interest in joining Argentinian side River Plate.

Ipswich Town

The Tractor Boys have taken former Middlesbrough and Swansea City forward Leroy Lita on trial. The 29-year-old scored as Mick McCarthy's side beat Braintree Town in a friendly on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, former Town midfielder Owen Garvan has refused to play down speculation linking him with a return to Portman Road.

Meanwhile, the Suffolk club have allowed defender Frederic Veseli to join Port Vale on a six-month loan deal.

Leeds United

The Whites have not brought in any new faces this week, but head coach Dave Hockaday is reportedly interested in signing AC Milan midfielder Zan Benedicic on loan.

Middlesbrough

Boro head coach Aitor Karanka is reportedly close to completing the signing of young Chelsea forward Patrick Bamford, who impressed during loan spells with MK Dons and Derby County last season.

The North-East club are also expected to take Doncaster Rovers left-back James Husband to the Riverside Stadium for a fee of £500,000.

Millwall

A new face at The Den this week with the arrival of striker Magaye Gueye following his release by Everton.

Norwich City

There has continued to be plenty of interest in some of Norwich's key players following their relegation to the Championship. However, manager Neil Adams is eager to keep Leroy Fer and Gary Hooper at Carrow Road this summer.

The Norwich boss has also hinted that goalkeeper Mark Bunn could leave the club after he was left out of Adams's 24-man squad that travelled to Italy for pre-season training and friendly matches.

Nottingham Forest

Forest manager Stuart Pearce has added Crystal Palace defender Jack Hunt to his squad on loan, as he looks to address the club's injury problems in defence. The 23-year-old will remain at the City Ground until December 31.

Goalkeeper Karl Darlow, who has attracted the interest of several Premier League clubs, has stated that he is happy to remain with Forest.

Reading

The Royals remain one of the quietest clubs in this transfer window as they wait for their takeover to go through. Former midfielder Jobi McAnuff has decided to drop down a division, joining Leyton Orient in League One following his release by the Royals earlier this summer.

Rotherham United

David Worrall, who was released by the Millers last week, has joined Southend United on a two-year deal.

Sheffield Wednesday

Owls boss Stuart Gray has not added to his squad since signing Kieren Westwood, although he is keen to see how trialist Dejan Kelhar copes with the English game. The former Red Star Belgrade defender impressed during Wednesday's tour of Slovenia.

Watford

The Hornets bolstered their midfield this week by signing Republic of Ireland international Keith Andrews on a season-long loan from Bolton Wanderers.

The Troy Deeney transfer rumours have continued, with Burnley manager Sean Dyche playing down reports linking the club with the 26-year-old. However, Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that he is keen to sign the forward.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett has not added to his squad this week, but he has said that he would prefer to sign his transfer targets on permanent deals rather than loan moves.

Meanwhile, Jake Cassidy has become the second Wolves player to join Notts County on loan this summer, following Zeli Ismail to the East Midlands. Also leaving Molineux is youngster Kortney Hause, who has linked up with Gillingham on a youth loan deal.
