Leeds needed a last-minute Robert Snodgrass penalty to secure a point in a 1-1 draw with Watford on Saturday afternoon.
It was the home side who started the brighter, with Michael Kightly beginning to influence the play in the early stages.
Kightly broke the deadlock after 28 minutes with a fine strike from inside the area.
Leeds remained a threat, however, and might have levelled five minutes before the break with a fine effort from Robert Snodgrass, but it whistled just wide.
The away side continued to enjoy the better of the play in the second half but could not force their way through a sturdy Watford defence.
Luciano Becchio went closest for Leeds after 83 minutes but his effort drifted wide from inside the box.
The away side did eventually find an equaliser however in the fifth minute of added time when Snodgrass dispatched his spot kick after Mika Vayrynen had been brought down in the area by Nyron Nosworthy.
Watford will look to return to winning ways when they travel to Blackpool next weekend, while Leeds host Reading.
