Report: Leeds United manager Steve Evans a contender for Celtic hotseat

Glasgow-born Leeds United manager Steve Evans is reportedly a possible contender to take over at Celtic this summer.

Celtic have reportedly expressed an interest in appointing Leeds United boss Steve Evans as their new manager.

The Scottish champions are after a new head coach following this morning's announcement that Ronny Deila would be leaving at the end of the season.

Former Manchester United and Everton manager David Moyes is the current bookmakers' favourite to take over, while Roy Keane and Neil Lennon are among the other names linked with the role.

According to The Scottish Sun, the Celtic board have cast an eye over Evans's credentials, with the Leeds boss due to be out of contract at Elland Road this summer.

Evans, a Glasgow-born Celtic fan, is said to be keen on the job should he be approached. His Leeds side have won three in a row to lie 11th in the Championship.
