Leeds owner hoping for partnership with PSG chief

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has revealed that there is "a desire" to put together a partnership with Paris Saint-Germain.

Over the past year, speculation has persisted regarding some kind of link-up between the Championship title contenders and the Champions League quarter-finalists.

While it appears that no deal is imminent, Radrizzani has acknowledged that he has a positive relationship with PSG counterpart Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Speaking to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Radrizzani said: "These are rumours that have been ongoing for more than a year now. What is true is that we have a great relationship on a personal level.

"There's a desire to do something together maybe even in football but there's nothing concrete at this time

"In the last few weeks everything took a back seat. My desire to have a great Leeds that is a protagonist in the Premier League and to do so we will need partners on top of the San Francisco 49ers, we'll evaluate this when we are in that league."

Although Leeds sit seven points clear of third-placed Fulham in the Championship standings, it remains unclear whether the current campaign will continue after the coronavirus outbreak.
