Fowler applies for Leeds job?

Robbie Fowler has reportedly applied for the managerial vacancy at Leeds United.

The Championship side have been without a permanent boss since Dave Hockaday was relieved of his duties by owner Massimo Cellino last month.

Neil Redfearn has since been placed in interim charge, while a host of names, including Carlos Queiroz, Steve Clarke and Chris Hughton, have been linked with the post.

However, Fowler, who scored 14 goals during a two-year spell at Elland Road as a player, has now thrown his hat into the ring, according to Sky Sports News.

The 39-year-old once had a brief stint in charge of Thai side Muangthong United.
