FA drops Bellusci racism charge

Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci has been cleared by the Football Association of racially abusing Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome.

The FA had initially charged Bellusci with using 'abusive and/or insulting words including reference to ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race' towards Jerome during the Championship fixture between the two teams on October 21.

However, after Bellusci denied the charge, the case against the 25-year-old Italian could not be proven by an Independent Regulatory Commission.

Bellusci has made 20 appearances for Leeds since joining the club from Catania during the summer.
