Half-Time Report: Antonio Candreva fires Lazio ahead

Antonio Candreva scores to give Lazio a 1-0 half-time lead over Cesena at the Stadio Olimpico this afternoon.

Lazio have taken a 1-0 lead into half time of their Serie A match against Cesena this afternoon.

Antonio Candreva had the first attempt on goal for the hosts, but he saw his long-range free kick tipped over the bar by Nicola Leali.

It was the Italian international who gave his side the lead in the 19th minute when he was picked out at the back post by Edson Braafheid, firing a volley under the legs of the keeper.

Candreva was proving to be Lazio's biggest threat and he headed an effort over the bar as the home side nearly extended their lead before the break.
