Report: Gianluigi Buffon out of England match

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will reportedly miss Italy's World Cup clash with England this evening after picking up an ankle injury in training.

Italy boss Cesare Prandelli revealed yesterday that the 36-year-old had indeed limped out of training, but was still hopeful of making the Group D clash.

However, according to reports in Italy, the injury will rule the veteran out of the affair.

As a result, Salvatore Sirigu is expected to start between the sticks for the 2006 champions.
