Andrea Pirlo plays down Juventus exit talk

Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo insists that his tears following the Champions League final were not "tears of goodbye" amid speculation that he could move to the MLS.

Andrea Pirlo has insisted that his tears following the Champions League final were not an indication that he is heading for the exit at Juventus this summer.

The Italy international has been linked with a move to the MLS, while A-League side Sydney FC have also reportedly expressed an interest in the 36-year-old.

The midfielder told Sky Sports Italia: "Were my tears a goodbye to Juventus? No, they were for the defeat. It is the kind of opportunity that I will rarely get again."

The Italian champions were beaten 3-1 by Barcelona in the final in Berlin.
