Juventus star Andrea Pirlo open to joining overseas club

Italy star Andrea Pirlo refuses to rule out a move overseas when he leaves Juventus.

Juventus star Andrea Pirlo has admitted that he has not ruled out moving to an overseas club at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old, who has spent four years in Turin, has never played outside of Italy, but once the campaign comes to a close, the midfielder has admitted that he will consider his options.

Prior to that, Pirlo has expressed a determination to lift the Champions League trophy just a matter of days after Juve secured their fourth Serie A title in a row at the weekend.

"It would actually be a dream way to end my time in Turin, by winning the Champions League, but I wouldn't stop playing altogether," Pirlo told La Gazetta dello Sport.

"I'm going to continue for as long as I still have the great desire to train every day. Certainly I wouldn't stay in Italy - Juve will be my last Serie A club no matter what.

"[The United States] is an option, but there's nothing definite yet. I'm still only thinking about Juve, and besides, let's get our hands on that trophy first and then we'll see."

Pirlo and his teammates will take on Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final in Turin on Tuesday.
