Paulo Dybala 'closing in on new Juventus contract'

Paulo Dybala is reportedly on the verge of signing a new long-term deal with Juventus.

The Argentina international was strongly linked with a move away from the Italian champions last summer.

Indeed, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur were both believed to be keen to bring the South American to the Premier League ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

Dybala ultimately remained in Turin, though, and he has been an important figure for Maurizio Sarri's side this term, finding the back of the net on 13 occasions in 34 appearances, in addition to providing 12 assists.

According to Calciomercato, the Old Lady have stepped up their renewal talks with the 26-year-old as they attempt to tie him to a long-term deal.

The report claims that Dybala could even become the club's second-highest earner behind Cristiano Ronaldo should he extend his stay in Turin.

The versatile attacker joined the Italian champions from Palermo in the summer of 2015.
