Report: Juventus defender Mauricio Isla to join Marseille on loan

Juventus defender Mauricio Isla is reportedly close to joining French side Marseille on loan.

The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Queens Park Rangers, making 26 Premier League appearances as the side were relegated to the Championship.

Chilean right-back Isla joined the Serie A champions from Udinese in 2012, but has only made 29 league appearances for the Bianconeri.

Italian news outlet Tuttomercatoweb reports that Isla has travelled to Marseille to complete the transfer, with the Ligue 1 outfit having the option to make the deal permanent next summer.

Isla has made 66 international appearances for Chile, scoring three goals.
