After a series of ups and downs in September, Lazio return from the international break by welcoming Spezia to Stadio Olimpico on Sunday afternoon.
The Biancocelesti were thumped in Europe shortly before winning their last Serie A outing 4-0, while their visitors beat regional rivals to move into mid-table.

Both sides have improved at the back this season, as Lazio have conceded five league goals in 2022-23 compared to 12 at this point last year; Spezia have leaked 11 compared to 19.
The hosts are a formidable prospect on home soil, though, and even if Immobile sits out, chief creator Sergej Milinkovic-Savic can cause havoc in the visitors' defence.

The visitors, meanwhile, are yet to win in Italy's top flight this season, and could fall to the bottom of the table with a defeat.

We can envisage a tight, nervy encounter in Lecce on Sunday, with the visitors determined to avoid defeat after their thrashing at the hands of Lazio last time out.
As such, it would not be a surprise to see a low scoring draw ensue, which would ensure Cremonese do not fall further behind their fellow newly promoted rivals in the table.

In their first fixture since making history on home soil, Monza return to action on Sunday, as they visit fellow strugglers Sampdoria at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Under new management, the Biancorossi claimed their first-ever Serie A success at the expense of fallen giants Juventus just before the international break, and now aim for three more points against a team stuck at the foot of the standings.

Given both sides' failings in the final third, goals may not flow freely, but the chance to take three points off likely relegation rivals may bring them out of their shells. With the feelgood factor still in play, Monza can extend their unbeaten run to a third game; leaving Samp still seeking their first win.

Salernitana will be aiming to end a winless run of four matches when they travel to Sassuolo on Sunday.
The hosts, meanwhile, ended an identical winless streak themselves when beating Torino last time out in Serie A.

Sassuolo have lacked cutting edge without Berardi in attack, and the winger's likely absence through injury significantly reduces their chances of winning any football match.
As such, we can envisage Salernitana making things tough for them, with a score draw seeming the most logical outcome on Sunday.

Before the international break intervened, the Bergamaschi had won five of their first seven fixtures and remained unbeaten, while the Viola endured a difficult September but at least ended it with a win.
