Leonardo Bonucci: 'We need the fans with us'

Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has blasted the supporters that jeered his team during Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Chievo.

The Old Lady, who have won the last four Italian titles, have made their worst ever start to a Serie A season having collected just one point from three matches.

After the Chievo match, Bonucci took to Twitter to reveal his disappointment at the reaction of sections of the crowd.

"It's easy to come to the stadium and applaud when everything is going well," Bonucci posted on social networking site.

"The real fan applauds during difficult moments to help the team. Juventus is all those who step on to the pitch, are on the bench, come to the stadium and sit at home watching on TV.

"The Juve motto is 'to the end' and to the end we must all be united. Believe in Juventus, in the team and in the project."

Juventus return to action away to Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday.
