Cesare Prandelli targets World Cup final

Italy manager Cesare Prandelli believes that his side are capable of reaching the World Cup final this summer.

Italy manager Cesare Prandelli has said that his side are capable of reaching the World Cup final this summer.

The Azzurri have been drawn in the same group as England and Uruguay, but Prandelli is confident that they will reach the knockout stages and enjoy a successful tournament.

"I am not looking at the group table, I know that we have to progress into the knockout stages and we have to organise how to get to the final," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"I want to get to the final, then, we will see what happens."

Prandelli took charge of Italy in 2010 following a five-year spell at Fiorentina.
