Kello handed Ipswich trial

Championship side Ipswich Town have given a trial to Marian Kello on their pre-season tour of the Netherlands.

The Slovakian goalkeeper has been without a club since leaving Scottish side Hearts in April of this year.

Despite interest from Premier League side Aston Villa, the 29-year-old has taken the chance to impress Ipswich boss Paul Jewell over the next week.

"With Marian, Aston Villa were keen on him and he's a free agent," Jewell told the club's official website. "He's come over to spend the week with us in Holland and we'll take it from there."

French pair Plaisir Bahamboula and Solialio Bakayogo have also gone on trial with the Tractor Boys.
