Ipswich's Taylor charged with assault

Ipswich Town forward Paul Taylor has been charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm.

The 25-year-old has been charged alongside a man and a woman following an October incident at the Robert Ransome pub in Ipswich, where a 30-year-old man had an eye socket and fingers broken and another man suffered a broken rib and cut head.

Taylor hasn't played for Ipswich since breaking a foot in September.

He has played just three times since completing his move from fellow Championship side Peterborough United in August.
