Inter confirm Radja Nainggolan agreement

Inter Milan have confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Italian rivals Roma to sign midfielder Radja Nainggolan.

The 30-year-old, who last month announced his international retirement after missing out on a place in Belgium's World Cup squad, passed a medical with the Nerazzurri and agreed personal terms on Monday.

Nainggolan scored six goals and registered the same number of assists for Roma last season, having seen a move to Chelsea fall through in the summer.

Inter are close to officially signing the ex-Piacenza and Cagliari ace, however, with a further announcement planned before the end of Tuesday.

"The conditions have been met for a deal for Radja Nainggolan," Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio told the club's website. "He is a top player. Everything will be made official [on Tuesday] and then we will say something more."

Nainggolan has previously worked under Inter manager Luciano Spalletti at Roma.
