Rumours linking Diego Simeone to the vacant Inter Milan job have intensified after the Argentine was spotted in Italy.

Photos of the Atletico Madrid boss in Milan during the international break have been circulated by the local press and social media users.

Simeone, who spent time at Inter during his playing career, refused to dismiss reports of a possible return to San Siro when quizzed by an Italian newspaper.

"Inter? You never know," he told Telelombardio when asked to weigh in on the speculation.
