Mancini wary of "difficult" start

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini has admitted that he faces a difficult start to his second spell in charge of the club.

The 49-year-old was rehired as the club's head coach last week, following the dismissal of Walter Mazzarri.

His first game in charge will see his side face city rivals AC Milan on Sunday evening, before travelling to Roma a week later.

"Did I work on tactics or psychology? Both, but I need time because it's a difficult time historically for Italian football as well as Inter," Mancini told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"The first thing I focused on, more than tactics, was enthusiasm. When will we see a winning Inter? There is no precise date for objectives, but we do need to hurry our improvement.

"It is an interesting coincidence. No game would've been easy in Serie A, but I have to say starting with Milan and Roma is both fascinating and difficult."

Mancini won three Serie A titles with Inter during his previous time as manager of the club between 2004 and 2008.
