Euro 2024 qualifying permutations: Who can qualify on Thursday?

The penultimate round of Euro 2024 qualifiers begins on Thursday, with the make-up of next summer's tournament in Germany starting to take shape.

In addition to hosts Germany, the likes of Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, Turkey, Austria and England have all already stamped their ticket to the tournament, and over the next week another 12 teams will confirm their places on the plane.

Three of those could do so with a game to spare on Thursday night as the final international break of the calendar year begins.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the permutations for all of Thursday's fixtures.


GROUP A

THURSDAY'S FIXTURES

Cyprus vs. Spain (5pm) Georgia vs. Scotland (5pm)

PERMUTATIONS

  • Spain and Scotland have both already qualified, but top spot in Group A is still up for grabs. The two sides are level on head-to-head record, so first place will come down to goal difference.

  • GROUP F

    THURSDAY'S FIXTURES

    Azerbaijan vs. Sweden (5pm) Estonia vs. Austria (5pm)

    PERMUTATIONS

  • Belgium and Austria have both already qualified.
  • Belgium will be crowned group winners if Austria fail to beat Estonia.

  • GROUP G

    THURSDAY'S FIXTURES

    Bulgaria vs. Hungary (5pm) Montenegro vs. Lithuania (7.45pm)

    PERMUTATIONS

  • Hungary will qualify for Euro 2024 if they avoid defeat to Bulgaria, or if Montenegro fail to beat Lithuania.
  • Serbia will qualify if Montenegro fail to beat Lithuania.

  • GROUP J

    THURSDAY'S FIXTURES

    Liechtenstein vs. Portugal (7.45pm) Luxembourg vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina (7.45pm) Slovakia vs. Iceland (7.45pm)

    PERMUTATIONS

  • Portugal have already qualified.
  • Slovakia will join them at Euro 2024 if they avoid defeat against Iceland.
