Hull City want former defender Conor Townsend back?

Hull City are reportedly interested in re-signing their former defender Conor Townsend this summer.

Townsend left the Tigers on a permanent transfer to Scunthorpe United in 2016 after 15 years at the Yorkshire side.

The 25-year-old completed seven loan spells over a five-year period at his boyhood club, including half a season at current team Scunthorpe.

According to the Daily Mail, Hull want Townsend to return to the squad this summer following a string of impressive performances for Nick Daws's side last season.

Townsend, who has made 73 appearances since joining the League One outfit, has one year remaining on his current contract.
