Hull City boss Steve Bruce hopes Matty Fryatt will sign new contract

Hull hope to keep hold of Fryatt

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has insisted that the club want to keep hold of striker Matty Fryatt.

The 28-year-old will come to the end of his current terms at the KC Stadium in the summer.

Despite Fryatt failing to land a regular starting spot in the Premier League, Bruce is hopeful that he will decide to extend his future at the club.

"Matty will generate interest because he's out of contract, but I've said to him that we will sit down and offer him a contract," the Hull Daily Mail quotes Bruce as saying.

Sheffield Wednesday are said to be one of a number of clubs keeping track of Fryatt's situation.
