Andy Dawson signs new Hull City deal

Hull City defender Andy Dawson has committed his short-term future to the club by signing a new one-year deal.

The 33-year-old is the Tigers' longest-serving player after he moved from Scunthorpe United in 2003.

"I am very happy to have signed a new contract and extend my stay at this football club," he told the club's official website.

"It's obviously been a bit of a long process but thankfully it's all sorted now and I can concentrate on my preparations for the new season and giving everything I can for this football club.

"I've said all along that it's been an honour and a privilege to play for Hull City all these years."

Dawson has made 310 appearances for the Championship side during his nine-year spell at the KC Stadium.
