Hull City's Steve Bruce urges board to improve Gary Hooper bid?

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has urged the club's hierarchy to keep up their pursuit of Celtic striker Gary Hooper.

The newly-promoted Premier League outfit are thought to have had a £4.5m offer rejected by the Scottish Premier League champions this week.

Despite the knock-back, Bruce is not ready to give up on the 25-year-old frontman, according to the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

Reports have claimed that Celtic are looking for a bid in the region of £7m.
