Steve Bruce has faith in Sam Allardyce to have West Ham United ready for final day

Hull City boss Steve Bruce admits that he is confident Sam Allardyce will have West Ham United fired up for their final-day match against Newcastle United.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce is adamant that Sam Allardyce will have West Ham United up for the challenge for their final-day clash against Newcastle United.

The Tigers have to beat Manchester United on the final day of the season to have any hope of remaining in the top flight, but even a victory over the Red Devils may not be enough to save them if the Magpies claim three points against Allardyce's men.

However, Bruce is confident that the former Newcastle boss will be determined to get one over on his old team to give Hull a chance to retain their place in the Premier League.

"That's his prerogative," Bruce told reporters. "It's his business what he does with his players, but Sam's a man of integrity and honesty and he'll make sure his team are properly prepared for Newcastle.

"He will be wanting to win that game, and he'll make sure his players go out there and try all they know to get a result."

Bruce has failed to beat United in his managerial career.
