Hull City's Adama Diomande charged with violent conduct

Hull City striker Adama Diomande has been charged with violent conduct after lashing out during Tuesday's EFL Cup fourth-round match against Bristol City.

The 26-year-old appeared to strike Marlon Pack close to the 90th minute of the Tigers' 2-1 victory at Ashton Gate.

The English governing body released a statement on Thursday confirming the charge, which was missed by the match officials on the night.

The result put Hull into the quarter-finals, where they will face Newcastle United.
